2020: Tobias Ebert, Friedrich Goetz, Andrés Gvirtz and Elisa Militaru will be presenting at the 2020 SPSP Annual Convention. Tobias Ebert will give a talk on 'The Legacy of the Dead: Gravestones and Obituaries Reveal Cross-Cultural Variation in the Link between Religiosity and Longevity'. Friedrich Goetz will give a talk on 'The TIME Collaboration: How Harry Potter, Darth Vader and Jon Snow Advance Psychological Science'. Andrés Gvirtz will present a poster on 'Associations between social amenities and neighborhood personalities: An advanced ensemble learning study' and Elisa Militaru will present a poster on 'Trusting the Pea in the Pod: Personality and Homophily in Trust-based Interactions'.

2019: Congrats to Andrés Gvirtz and Elisa Militaru on successfully defending their MPhil thesis and continuing to their PhD at the research group!

2019: Tobias Ebert, Friedrich Goetz and Andrés Gvirtz will be presenting at the 2019 SPSP Summer Psychology Forum on Big Data. Tobias Ebert and Friedrich Goetz will give a workshop on 'Geographic Analysis for Psychologists', Andrés Gvirtz will present on 'Associations between personality and social spaces: Combing large scale personality surveys with Yelp data'.

2019: Dr. Jason Rentfrow will present at Annual Convention of the APS on ‘How Can Machine Learning Inform Our Understanding of Personality Psychology?’ and ‘What Do Smartphones Reveal about the Psychological States and Traits of Users?’

2019: Congrats to Gregory Serapio-García on securing a Gates PhD Fellowship. We are happy to welcome you to the PSD Research Group in October!

2019: Congrats to Andrés Gvirtz on securing an Economic Social Research Council (ESRC), Peterhouse and Cambridge Trust Studentship to continue with his PhD at the PSD Research Group.

2019: Dr. Jason Rentfrow’s new book ‘Foundations of music psychology: Theory and research’ got published by MIT Press.

2019: Three members of the PSD Research Group are presenting at the SPSP Convention in Portland. Friedrich Goetz will co-chair the panel on ‘Mapping the Causes and Consequences of Geographical Variation in Personality’, at which Tobias Ebert will speak. Dr. Rentfrow will be at presenting on ‘The Spatial Organization of Personality Traits’.

2019: Congrats to Elisa Militaru on receiving the Dean’s Award for Outstanding achievement from King’s College London.  

2019: Congrats to Sandrine Mueller on finishing her PhD. She will join Columbia Business School as a Post-Doc!

2019: Over the summer Wenyuan Kong and Ziwen Chen from Wuhan University, China will join us as a research intern. Looking forward to welcoming you!

2018: Welcome to Andrés Gvirtz and Elisa Militaru, who will join the PSD Research Group in October. Congrats to Elisa for securing the ESRC and Nokia Bell Labs MPhil/PhD Studentship!
